Photography Policy at Sprangers Orchard, a division of Schmalz Landscaping.
Sprangers Orchard warmly welcomes professional photographers to capture beautiful, timeless memories amid our scenic apple trees, blossoms, and fall foliage. We’re excited to partner with you to create stunning images while helping preserve our well-maintained property for all guests to enjoy.
Photography Fee Professional photography sessions are permitted at a rate of $75 per hour, per photographer. Time slots are booked in hourly increments.
Reservations Required All professional photography sessions must be scheduled and reserved in advance to ensure availability and avoid conflicts with other guests. Your reservation secures your selected date and time. Payment and any required paperwork (including a completed reservation form and signed waiver) must be finalized prior to your arrival.
Sign In & Sign Out Upon arrival, all photographers must sign in at the orchard (typically at the store or designated check-in area) and provide your receipt/order number. To keep the orchard running smoothly, we require actual time on our sign-in/sign-out sheet. Please remember to sign out once your session is complete.
Courtesy Grace Period We understand that nature (and clients!) can be unpredictable. To keep the orchard experience seamless for everyone, we allow a total of 15 minutes of flexibility between your scheduled start and end times. This covers everything from a slightly delayed start to the time it takes to pack up your gear and sign out. To ensure fairness for all creators and our staff, any session that exceeds its booked duration by more than 15 minutes in total will be invoiced for an additional full hour at the standard rate to your e-mail address on file. The 15-minute grace period applies regardless of the length of the session booked.
Smile—it’s your turn in the spotlight! Since we’re a destination for great shots, we’ve got a few of our own running; Sprangers Orchard uses video surveillance for the safety and security of all our guests. Consider it a "behind-the-scenes" capture of your session—by entering the property, you and your clients acknowledge that you’re officially on camera.
Weather Policy Weather in Wisconsin can be unpredictable! If conditions are unfavorable on your scheduled day, we’re happy to work with you to reschedule based on availability—no extra fees for weather-related changes. Please contact us as soon as possible if you need to adjust due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
Property Guidelines
- Photography is permitted only in approved public areas
- Sessions without prior approval and a confirmed reservation are not allowed.
- While our property is expansive, please expect to see other photographers and clients on-site during peak times. We operate as a communal space for all creatives.
- Please respect other guests, stay on designated paths where possible, and help keep the orchard clean and welcoming for everyone.
